Alfredo Pascual

Research Assistant

Alfredo is originally from Uruguay, where he studied a Bachelor of Business Administration and worked first for the private and then for the public sector. Then he decided to pursue a career in Policy Institutes so he moved to Germany to study a Master of Public Policy.  He works as a Research Assistant for the Austrian Economics Center​,and he's also a Students For Liberty Local Coordinator. Within the Liberty Movement, his primary interest is Drug Policy, and he's writing his master's thesis about the legalization of cannabis in Uruguay and Colorado. Before that, his favorite topics were Civil Disobedience and Political Resistance. He always tries to combine theory and practice. For instance, in March 2014 he traveled to Cuba to support the opposition movement, where he was detained, interrogated and thrown out of the country.
